Long ago, in a dense forest, there lived a large herd of pigs.
They always stayed together. Their unity was so strong that even the king of the jungle, the lion, thought twice before attacking them.
Among the herd lived a small pig named Buddy.
Buddy was very playful and mischievous. He loved making jokes.
One day, laughing with his friends, Buddy said,
“Everyone here is so innocent! Why not have some fun today?”
Suddenly, Buddy started shouting loudly,
“Help! Help! A lion is coming!”
Hearing Buddy’s cries, the entire herd became alert.
They looked around carefully, but there was no lion anywhere.
Soon, everyone realized it was just Buddy’s prank.
Buddy laughed loudly and said,
“Haha! See how scared you all got!”
Slowly, this mischief became Buddy’s habit.
He kept shouting false warnings again and again.
After some time, whenever Buddy cried for help, the herd thought,
“He’s joking again.”
One day, while wandering around, Buddy reached deep into the forest alone.
Suddenly, the bushes began to shake.
A deep voice echoed,
“Today, my prey has come to me by itself…”
Buddy turned around.
The ground slipped beneath his feet.
A real lion was standing right in front of him.
Trembling with fear, Buddy cried loudly,
“Help! Help! This time I’m telling the truth!”
But the herd, sitting far away, thought,
“He lies every time. Who will go now?”
No one came to help him.
The lion slowly walked closer to Buddy.
Tears filled Buddy’s eyes.
With a shaking voice, he said,
“I have made a big mistake.
I broke everyone’s trust by lying.
From today onward, I will never lie again.”
The lion paused for a moment and then said calmly,
“Everyone makes mistakes, Buddy.
But a wise one is the one who accepts them.”
The lion continued,
“You have realized your mistake,
so today, I forgive you.”
Hearing this, Buddy felt great relief.
He bowed his head and said,
“Thank you.”
From that day on, Buddy truly understood that lies break trust,
and truth makes life better.
