In a dense jungle, under the shade of a big tree, the king of the jungle, the lion, was sleeping peacefully.
Just then, a little mouse came there while playing.
Out of curiosity, he went near the lion… and by mistake climbed onto his back.
Lion (roaring): “Who is it?! Who dares to disturb my sleep?”
In a moment, the lion stretched out his paw and caught the mouse.
Mouse (trembling): “Your Majesty, please forgive me! I didn’t do it on purpose. If you let me go today… someday I will help you.”
Lion (laughing): “You? Such a tiny creature? You will help me?”
(After a short pause)
“Alright… go. But don’t show your face here again.”
The mouse saved his life and ran away. The lion went back to being full of pride.
⏳ A few days later…
The lion was walking in the jungle when he got trapped in the hunters’ strong net.
Lion (in pain): “Ah! No matter how much strength I use… this net is not breaking!” For the first time, the lion felt his strength was not enough.
Mouse (from the bushes): “Your Majesty… don’t worry. The chance you gave me, I have come to return it today.”
The mouse started biting the net with his sharp teeth.
In a short time, the net broke… and the lion was free!
The lion was shocked. He remembered the promise of that little mouse.
Lion (humbly): “I thought I was the strongest of all…But today I understood, real strength is something else.”
Lion (with gratitude): “Little friend… today you saved my life. I will never forget you.”
Mouse (smiling): “Your Majesty, kindness is never small.”
